Reviewing BetterInvesting's guidelines will help you organize your club and assist you in becoming a better investor. Many cities have BetterInvesting regional Chapters. These Chapters are managed by BetterInvesting member volunteers, who assist other members and clubs through hosting of educational seminars, workshops and events.
Step-by-Step

    Ten Steps toward Success

    1. Hold an initial meeting Invite people who may be interested in joining a club.

    2. Choose club members Select people you know, choosing from family, friends, co-workers, etc.

    3. Enroll your club with BetterInvesting and obtain education materials and resources.

    4. Elect officers President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

    5. Complete the general partnership agreement Make sure everyone signs and gets a copy.

    6. Prepare a draft of club operating procedures

    7. Register your club with the federal and state government Complete IRS Form SS-4.

    8. Open checking and brokerage accounts Consider your local bank or credit union, and a discount or online brokerage firm.

    9. Start your monthly club meetings and educational program

    10. Use BetterInvesting Regional Chapter and online resources to stay connected to fellow members of the BetterInvesting community.
