Chapter Meeting Schedule

Are you looking for a better way to maximize your returns while minimizing your risk? Do you follow the BetterInvesting teachings? All of our directors are experienced investors who use the BetterInvesting tools to better understand the choices we make. Come pick our brains at our monthly chapter meetings. You are welcome when the chapter has its monthly meetings in the conference rooms of public libraries at 10 a.m. or 6:30 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month (except the months of July & December). Come for a MEET & GREET time at the beginning, then stay for our education sessions, which are approximately 45 min. in length. Then we will have our business meeting AFTER the education session. We will finish up no later than noon or 8:45 p.m. Last year we devoted our educational sessions to exploring several different industries with completed Stock Selection Guides (SSG) and what we can learn from them. This year we will have a variety of topics aimed at making us more knowledgable and skilled investors.

The FREE educational sessions, which have been scheduled at this time, at the beginning of our monthly meetings in 2007 are as follows:

January 24, 2007, Wed., 6:30 p.m. - Rainbow Library. Education: Toolkit Orientation, hands-on demonstration. Come, learn & ask questions. PE Ratios, PEG ratios, Current Ratios, Acid Test, etc., led by Desert Speculators Investment Club President and Associate Director Nigel Wilkinson.

Classes

The following classes, listed below, are currently scheduled for the coming year. The classes last longer than our educational sessions following our monthly meetings to enable greater in-depth study. Pre-registration is required a week prior to the class. Each class is $30 for non-BetterInvesting members or $25 for members.

January 18, 2007, Thursday, 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. (Whitney Library), What Is the Basic Stock Selection Guide & How is It Used? Directors Ron Plummer & Jennifer Sheldahl will lead the class.

Attention Treasurers - February 22, 2007, Thursday, 6:30-9pm, (Whitney Library), a Club Accounting Version 3 for Treasurers will again be offered. Directors Marty Blonn & Jennifer Sheldahl will lead the class.

March 15, 2007, Thursday, 6:30-9 p.m., (Spring Valley Library, 4280 S. Jones. Blvd., LV); Introd. to Portfolio Manager Software, Directors Alice Berly and Marty Blonn will lead the class.

April 11, 2007, Wednesday, 6:30-8:45 p.m., (Spring Valley Library); Value Line Analysis, Directors Alice Berly and Jennifer Sheldahl will lead the class.

Would you like to have an instructor come to your club? Let us know what you would like to learn about. There are a number of topics and software that our instructors are familiar with. We can offer you classes on any of the IClub (BetterInvesting approved) software.
