"There is so much information available, that it is hard to know where to start. I have been putting money into mutual funds since I graduated from college. Fortunately, I learned about the time value of money at a young age. After the recent market high tech run-up, I thought our family was doing GREAT! Then 'the bubble burst' and I watched our retirement and education savings be cut so significantly that I decided I had to get more personally involved and stop trusting our future only to the professional money managers who made their living from our investments."
